Kung Pao Paneer

Ingredients:

  • Paneer : 300 grams
  • Soy sauce : 5 table spoons
  • Corn Flour: 2 table spoons
  • Vegetable gravy: 2 cups
  • Grated Ginger : 1 table spoons
  • Crushed Garlic : 1 table spoons
  • Chopped Spring Onions : 1/2 cup
  • Green Bell Peppers : 1/2
  • Onion : 1 small
  • Peanuts
  • Red Chilli : 4-5
  • Sugar : tbsp
  • Salt : 1 table spoon or as per your taste
  • Cooking oil : 4 table spoons
  • Coriander (optional)

Serves: 2

Cooking time : 30 minutes

Preparation:

Step 1: Fry Paneer

  • Cut Paneer into small pieces (~1.5 inch)
  • Mix well in 2 tbsp soya sauce, 1 tbsp salt, 1 tbsp corn flour and water
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil or butter in a pan and fry this paneer for 5-10 minutes
  • Keep aside

Step 2: Prepare Gravy

  • Take 2 cups of vegetable gravy. You can vary this amount depending on your preference.
  • Mix in 1 tbsp vinegar, 3 tbsp soya sauce, 1 tbsp corn flour, 1 tbsp sugar and salt to taste
  • Keep aside

Step 3: Cook

  • Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan
  • Add grated ginger, garlic, red chillies and fry for 2 minutes
  • Add peanuts, spring onions and fry for 2 minutes
  • Cut bell pepper and onion into big square pieces and fry for ~5 minutes until they are slightly tender
  • Add the gravy prepared above and heat for ~5 minutes until sauce is slightly thick
  • Add in the fried paneer prepared above in Step 1
  • Close the pan and turn off the heat after 5 minutes
  • Garnish with Coriander (optional)

    Kung pao recipes has been requested in my blog for quite a long time, specially kung pao chicken..Few days back i decided to make a chinese dinner, so when i was looking for few noodles recipes..I came across this chilli garlic noodles and i had a packet of paneer. So i thought of using that and make a kung pao paneer. And it turned out yummy..Hubby, my big critic loved it..
