Bajra Crispy Roti

Ingredients:

  • Bajra flour: 1/2 cup
  • Wheat flour: 1/2 cup
  • Ghee: 2 tablespoons
  • Salt: A pinch
  • Powdered sugar : 2 & 1/2 tablespoons (depend upon choice)
  • Sesame seeds: 2 teaspoons
  • Cardamom powder:1/4 teaspoon
  • Saffron dissolved in milk: 1 teaspoon
  • Water as per requirement
  • Finely chopped nuts: 2 teaspoons
  • Butter: 1 tablespoon for applying on roti

Serves: 7
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes

Preparation:

  • Mix both the flours, add sesame seeds, salt, cardamom powder, ghee, nuts and saffron milk in a bowl.
  • Mix all ingredients properly. Slowly add water and make soft dough like paratha.
  • Divide dough into 7 to 8 balls and roll thick round roti and roast on slow flame pressing little till it becomes crispy.
  • Roast till pink then remove from heat and apply butter on it.

Note: You can use jaggery instead of sugar.
