Almond Puri (Sweet)

Ingredients:
- Almond paste: 2 tablespoon
- Refine flour (maida): 3/4 cup
- Suji (semolina): 1/4 cup
- Ghee: 2 tablespoon
- Milk as per requirement
- Saffron: 6 strings
- Sugar: 1 cup
- Water
- Ghee for frying
- Cardamom powder: pinch
- Finely chopped almond: 1/2 teaspoon
- Finely chopped pistachios: 1/2 teaspoon
Serves: 10 pieces
Time: 20 minutes
Preparation:
- Soak 10 almonds in luke warm milk (approximately 4 teaspoon) for 5 minutes, then remove skin and make smooth paste.
- Add 2 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter) in this paste. Mix both flours and make dough with almond paste and milk.
- Make smooth dough and let it for rest for 10 minutes. Make10 thin flat discs from the dough.
- Add water in sugar till sugar is completely covered and keep boiling till two tar(thread) sugar syrup is ready. Let it cool.
- Now fry discs and dip it in sugar syrup for 2 hours. Dry for 4 hours and then garnish with chopped almonds, pistachio and cardamom powder.
Note: Can serve with Ice cream or Rabri (indian sweet).
