Almond Puri

Ingredients:
- Powder sugar: 1 cup
- Almond powder: 1 cup
- Cardamom powder: 1 & 1/2 teaspoons
- Saffron strands: 6 pieces
- Milk: 1 & 1/2 teaspoons( as per requirement )
- Milk to soak saffron: 1 teaspoon
- Plastic sheet for rolling: 1
- Wax paper for oven tray
- Almond chopped in two parts vertically for garnishing: 12 pieces
Serves: 12 medium size puris
Time: 20 minutes
Baking Time: 7 minutes
Preparation:
- Soak saffron in 1 teaspoon of milk in a bowl.
- Take almond powder, add powdered sugar, cardamom powder and mix well.
- Add saffron milk and make dough. Add milk as required.
- Be careful to add sufficient milk to make dough similar to paratha dough. Roll the dough into thick roll.
- Shape it the way you like it or roll small discs. Garnish with almond. Preheat oven to 150 degree.
- Keep the wax paper in baking tray and arrange all puries and bake it on 150 degrees for 7 minutes.
- When it cools down store it in a container.
