Skewered Sour Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • Sweet potatoes medium size: 2
  • Chopped garlic: 1 & 1/2 teaspoon
  • Finely chopped onion
  • Yogurt: 1/2 cup
  • Lemon juice: 1 & 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon zest pinch
  • Chopped parsley: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder: 1 & 1/2 teaspoon
  • Gram flour (besan): 1 & 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala: 1 teaspoon
  • Dry fenugreek leaves: 1 &1/2 teaspoon
  • Wooden skewers: 3
  • Oil: 1 & 1/2 teaspoon for brushing

Serves: 3 pieces
Marination time: 2 hours
Cooking time: 10 minutes

Preparation:

  • Boil sweet potatoes for 10 minutes till half cooked. Allow to cool and cut into pieces (Approximately 3 inches large).

For marination:

  • Stir curd properly and add all others ingredients.
  • Mix all ingredients properly. Marinate sweet potato cubes for two hours and skewer them.
  • Brush oil on it and grill or  cook on gas stove for 5 minutes till golden and crispy.
  • Sprinkle chaat masala on it and garnish with parsley. Serve with tomato ketchup or green chutney/mint yogurt chutney.
