Palak(Spinach) Chaat

Spicy spinach potato chat

Ingredients:

Palak(Spinach) leaves : 6

Stuffing for Leaf 1:

  • Grated cheese: 3 tablespoons (Any type of cheese)
  • Chili flakes: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Mexican herbs : 1 teaspoon
  • Dry parsley : 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dry basil leaves a pinch

Stuffing for Leaf 2:

  • Boiled and mashed potatoes: 1/2 cup
  • Chaat masala: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped onion; 2 teaspoon
  • Green chutney: 1 teaspoon
  • Tamarind chutney: 2 teaspoon
  • Chopped mint leaves:1/4 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves: 1 teaspoon
  • Sev(gram noodles) 2 tablespoon
  • Pomegranate pearls: 2 teaspoon

Ingredients for Batter:

  • Gram flour(besan): 1/2 cup
  • Rice flour: 2 teaspoon
  • Corn flour: 1teaspoon
  • Salt
  • Garm masala: 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Carom seeds: Pinch
  • Turmeric powder:pinch
  • Water as per requirement
  • Oil for frying

Serves: 2
Time: 15 minutes

Preparation:

  • Wash palak leaves properly and let them dry.
  • Take all three flours in bowl and add water and prepare semi thick batter.
  • Add red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, carom seeds and salt in it and leave it aside for a few seconds.
  • Heat oil. Dip palak leave in batter and fry till golden and crispy.

Leaf 1:

  • Take one fried leave and sprinkle cheese on it .
  • Sprinkle salt, chili flakes, and mexican herbs and garnish with parsley and basil leaves.

Leaf 2:

  • Take another fried leave and arrange mashed potato on it.
  • Pour green chutney and tamarind chutney and sprinkle chat masala on it.
  • Keep chopped onion, mint leaves and sev on it .
  • Garnish with pomegranate pearls and coriander leaves.

Your Spinach/Palak chaat is ready!!
