Home Style Hotpot

Ingredients:

  • Pre-made hotpot broth package: 1
  • Potato: 2
  • Cauliflower: 1/2 head
  • Broccoli: 1 head
  • Tofu: 1 package
  • Mushroom: 1 box
  • Bok choy: 4 heads
  • Meat (optional)

Ingredients for Dip:

  • Garlic: cloves
  • Lao gan ma sauce
  • Cilantro
  • Sesame oil (optional)

Serves: 4-5 people
Time: 20 minutes

Preparation:

  • Clean all the vegetables, dice the tofu to cubes and cut mushroom to half, separate cauliflower and broccoli into florets, and slice potatoes.
  • Heat a large pot over medium heat, add pre-made hotpot package and stir it well.
  • Add mushroom and potato slices and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Then add cauliflower and broccoli, and let it simmer for another 3 minutes, and add water up to 1 inches over all vegetables. Add less water if you like the taste to be spicier.
  • Bring it to boil for 5 minutes, and then add meat and bok choy.
  • It’s ready to serve when meat is cooked.

Preparation for Dip:

  • Mince the garlic cloves and add to a bowl.
  • Add one spoon of lao gan ma sauce and sesame oil.
  • Add 1 ladle of cooked broth.
  • Garnish with cilantro.
  • Dip the food to the dip for a more flavorful taste.
