Stuffed Bitter Gourd Salad

Ingredients: (Serves – 4, Cooking Time – 20 minutes)

  • Chana dal –1/4 cup
  • Bitter gourd—2 big pieces
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil— 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chili garlic paste—1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice–1 teaspoon
  • Onion chopped 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves —2 teaspoon
  • Resins –1/2 teaspoon
  • Asafoetida—pinch
  • Bhel sev—-2 teaspoon

Recipe:

  • Remove skin of bitter gourd and add salt and leave it for 5 minutes.
  • Wash with water. Steam it for 5 min then let it cool. Soak chana dal in water for 2 hours then boil for ten minutes.
  • Half crush chana dal. Heat oil in pan, add chili garlic paste.
  • Add crushed chana dal, salt, lemon juice, sugar,resins and asafoetida .
  • Remove from heat add coriander leaves. Stuff bitter gourd with this stuffing and garnish with sev , chopped onion and coriander leaves.
