Spicy Quinoa Cake

Ingredients:

  • Boiled quinoa—1 1/2 cup
  • Soaked and boiled chana dal—–3 teaspoon
  • Fresh bread crumbs—-1/2 cup
  • Sprouted green moong—-3 tablespoon
  • Parboiled french beans—–2 teaspoon
  • Parboiled carrot—-2 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves—-2 tablespoon
  • Chili ginger paste—1 tablespoon
  • Garlic paste—1 paste
  • Pickle masala (achar masala ) —1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar—1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Sesame seeds —11/2 teaspoon
  • Oil 2 tablespoon
  • Curry leaves—–3 pieces
  • Mustard seeds –1/2 teaspoon
  • Cashew nuts —3 for garnishing

Serves –4
Time —20 min

Recipe:

  • Boil 1 cup quinoa in 1 cup water.
  • Steam soaked chana dal. Take quinoa in bowl and add all ingredients in it.
  • Mix properly. Add mustard seeds in 1/4 teaspoon oil and heat it.
  • When it crackles add curry leaves and sesame seeds. Add in quinoa mixture and make round shape like cake.
  • Apply little oil in non stick pan add 1/4 teaspoon sesame seeds. Place cake in pan. Cook both side till brown and garnish with cashew nuts.

Note —Brush oil on cake and bake it in 180 degree preheated in oven for 15 to 20 min till brown. Tastes good with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
