Semolina & Orange Cup Cake

Ingredients:

  • Butter: 60 gms
  • Condensed milk: 80 mls
  • Semolina: 30 gms
  • Refine flour(maida): 125 gms
  • Baking powder: 5 gms
  • Powdered sugar: 2 & 1/2 tablespoons
  • Baking soda: 5 gms
  • Butter milk: 100 mls(as per requirement)
  • Orange zest: 1/4 teaspoon
  • Orange essence : 2 drops
  • Paper cups
  • Butter for greasing
  • Roasted walnuts for garnishing
  • Cashew nuts: 1 teaspoon chopped (optional)

Serves: 10
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Baking time: 30 to 35 minutes

Preparation:

  • Mix baking soda and baking powder with flour in a bowl and stir it well so that all the ingredients are mixed properly.
  • Take butter and sugar in bowl and beat until fluffy. Add orange zest, essence in flour and 50 ml butter milk in it and beat till mixture is light, add more butter milk if needed.
  • The consitency of the mixture must be pouring. Add cashew nuts.
  • Apply butter inside paper cup and also grease the cup mold.
  • Keep paper cup in cup molds and fill 3/4 cup with cake mixture. Stroke the cup so that extra air comes out.
  • Sprinkle little semolina on it and garnish it with walnut.
  • Preheat oven to 180 degree. Bake the cup cakes on 160 degree for 30 minutes.
  • Check with tooth pick if nothing sticks on it in that case the cake is ready.
  • Take it out from oven and keep on wire rack.
