Hara Bhara Kebab

Ingredients: (Cooking Time: 30 minutes)

  • Spinach –1 big bunch
  • Boiled and mashed green peas–1 1/2 cup
  • Grated paneer–1/4 cup
  • Boil and grated medium size potatoes,.–4
  • Green chilly paste —2 tea spoon
  • Ginger paste –11/2 tea spoon.
  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped –31/2 tea spoon.
  • Garam masala -1 tea spoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Roasted cumin powder–11/2 tea spoon.
  • Bread crumbs –1/2 cup
  • Soaked flatten rice flakes (poha)—-2 table spoon.
  • Oil for frying.

Recipe:

  • Blanch spinach in hot water for 2 min. drain and keep in cold water and squeeze out excess water and make paste.
  • Add potatoes, salt, paneer, 1 tea spoon chilly paste, ginger paste 1 tea spoon cumin powder, bread crumbs, poha and mix well.
  • Divide in equal portions and make balls.

Stuffing:

  • Heat 1 tea spoon oil in pan and add mashed peas. Saute for 1/2 min. Add chilly and ginger paste, salt, 2 drops lemon juice.
  • Remove from heat. Add coriander leaves, garam masala.
  • Take spinach balls and flatten between your palms. Put stuffing in it and make balls. Then flatten and fry until brown and sprinkle chat masala.
  • Note: The flatten kebabs can be shallow fried or baked in an oven.
  • Serve with green chutney,tomato ketchup or green mint chutney with yoghurt.
