Dum Aloo

Ingredients for Paste:

  • 1/2 big onion
  • 1 big tomato
  • 10 pcs cashew nuts
  • Ginger paste
  • 3 pcs cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp chilli paste
  • Red chilli powder
  • Dhana-jeera powder to taste

Other ingredients:

  • Oil + Butter
  • Boiled Potatoes
  • Garam masala and salt to taste
  • Tomato Ketchup
  • Kasuri Methi
  • Cream

Recipe:

  • Pour 2 tbsp oil and 1/2 tbsp butter in a pan. Cut potatoes into big pieces and fry them after boiling
  • Grind all ingredients for the paste in a mixer
  • Heat some oil and  add the paste. Stir continuously till the oil seprates from the paste
  • Add some water, fried potatoes, garam masala and salt to taste
  • Add some tomato ketchup for gravy.
  • Transfer in a serving bowl.
  • Sprinkle kasuri methi and add cream as garnishing.
