Dates & Dry Figs Spiral

Ingredients: (Serves – 10-15 pieces, Baking time – 25 minutes, Cooking Time – 10minutes)

  • Dates—-medium size—-15
  • Dry fig——6 pieces
  • Cardamom powder—–1/4 teaspoon
  • Sugar—2 tablespoon
  • Milk powder–3 to 4 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg powder — a pinch
  • Milk —4 teaspoon for dates and fig
  • Maida—(Refined flour)—–2 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ghee or butter—3 tablespoon
  • Milk—–1/2 cup
  • Baking Powder —1/4 teaspoon

Recipe:

  • Chop dates and fig . Soak in hot milk till it becomes soft and make smooth paste.
  • Add sugar, milk powder, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder. Mix it properly.
  • Add ghee or butter in maida . Make soft dough with milk.
  • Roll big rounds and spread stuffing properly on it. Fold and make tight rolls.
  • Cut this roll in small pieces and press with palms like puri.
  • Brush milk on all puris, then apply butter.Bake it in 150 degree preheated oven for 25 to 30 min.
  • Check after 20 min.
