Black Beans Soup with Salsa

Ingredients :

  • Black beans —-1 1/2 cup
  • Bay leaf –1
  • Oil —1 teaspoon
  • Chopped garlic —–2 teaspoon
  • Roasted cumin powder —1 teaspoon
  • Chopped onion —–2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder —1 teaspoon
  • Green chili –1 (optional )
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper powder —1/4 teaspoon
  • Oregano —1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh cream —–1 1/2 teaspoon

Ingredients for salsa:

  • Chopped tomato —2 teaspoon
  • Chopped onion —1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Finely chopped capsicum —-1 teaspoon
  • Orange segments —2 teaspoon
  • Chopped jalapeno —-1/4 teaspoon
  • Chopped coriander leaves —-1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Olive oil —1 teaspoon And mix all ingredients properly and salsa ready.

Serves —4 to 6
Time —20 minutes

Recipe:

  • Soak black beans over night in water and cook in pressure cooker by adding pinch of salt .
  • Mesh beans and add 2 & 1/2 cup water and bay leave. Boil for 5 minutes.
  • Heat oil add garlic and saute till it brown. Add capsicum and cook for 2 min.
  • Add salt, pepper powder,oregano and roasted cumin powder and red chili powder, remove from heat and add in beans mixture.
  • Remove bay leave and crush mixture in blender. Strain the soup and boil for 2 min and remove from gas stove and add cream.
  • Pour soup in serving bowl and put salsa on it. Sprinkle coriander leaves & serve.
