Roasted Beaten Rice(Nylon Poha) Chivda

Ingredients:

  • Beaten rice (poha) —- 250 gm
  • Oil —– 4 to 5 teaspoon
  • Curry leaves —– 8 pieces
  • Chopped chili —- 2 teaspoon
  • Roasted peanuts —- 3 teaspoon
  • Cashew nuts — 1 teaspoon
  • Dry chopped coconuts—-4 to 5 pieces
  • Roasted chana —– 2 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground sugar —- 2 teaspoon (depend choice)
  • Asafoetida — pinch
  • Turmeric powder — 1/4 teaspoon

Serves: 6 to 7
Time: 30 minutes

Recipe:

  • Warm up poha in microwave oven for 2 seconds.
  • After one second stir. Remove from oven.Heat oil and add chili and curry leaves, fry till crunchy then add peanuts stir properly till little pink.
  • Add roasted chana and cashew nuts. Stir few seconds, add coconuts & cook till crispy.
  • Add poha . Stir continuously, add turmeric powder ,salt and asafoetida.
  • Keep this mixture on very slow flame for ten min and stir continuously after one min gape.
  • When poha become crispy remove from gas stove and add sugar and stir properly. Let it be completely cool then store in airtight jar.
