Vermicelli Sweet

Ingredients:

  • Ghee – 2 tablespoon
  • Vermicelli – 1/2 cup
  • Jaggery – 1/2 cup
  • Water – 2 cup
  • Milk – 1/2 cup
  • Saffron – 2-3 strands kept in milk.
  • Raisin – 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped cashew nut – 1 teaspoon
  • Pistachio – 1 teaspoon
  • Peeled chopped almonds – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cardamon powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cashew nut & Almonds for garnishing.

Serves – 4
Time – 30 minutes

Recipe:

  • Add jaggery in water and heat till it dissolves completely.
  • Heat ghee in a pan and add vermicelli.Roast for five minutes on a slow flame and add jaggery water stirring continuously.
  • Then add milk and nuts. Cook the mixture becomes semi thick.
  • Remove from heat and add cardamon powder and mix well.
  • Keep in a serving bowl and garnish with almonds and cashewnuts.
