Dabeli Kathi Roll

Ingredients: (Serves – 4, Cooking Time – 15 minutes)

  • Chapati (roti/indian bread)–4
  • Butter–4 teaspoon
  • Chopped onion–2 tablespoon
  • Boiled and mashed potato—2 cup
  • Masala peanut or fried peanut —3 tablespoon
  • Dates and tamarind chutney—1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic chutney–1 tablespoon
  • Dabeli masala—2 1/2 tablespoon
  • Grated cheese–3 tablespoon
  • Dry mango powder ( amchur)—1 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves—3 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste

Ingredient for dabeli masala:

  • Grated jaggery—3 tablespoon
  • Garam masala–1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder–1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dry coriander powder–1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Roasted cumin powder -1/2 tea spoon

Preparation of Dabeli masala:

  • Heat 1/2 teaspoon oil, add jaggery, salt and all ingredients .
  • Stir properly and remove from heat.

Preparation for Kathi roll:

  • Heat one teaspoon butter in pan. Add potato, garlic chutney, dabeli masala, salt and peanuts.
  • Mix it well, add dates chutney and remove from heat.
  • Apply butter on chapati then spread above mixture evenly.
  • Add onion and pomegranate pearls. Sprinkle grated cheese on it and coriander leaves and fold .
  • Apply little butter on outer side and roast for 1 min. Wrap it in paper napkin and serve.
