Black Jamun (Sweet Dish)

Ingredients:

  • Khoya–125 gm
  • Cottage cheese–50 gm
  • Sugar–1 teaspoon
  • Cardamom powder–1/4 tea spoon
  • Maida ( refine flour) 2 tea spoon
  • Suji (samolina)
  • Ghee
  • Sugar for syrup—-150 gm
  • Water
  • Silver sheet

Recipe:

  • Add water in sugar till sugar is completely immersed. Heat it till thick syrup is formed ( 1 1/2 tar).
  • Soak suji in one teaspoon milk for one hour. Mix khoya, cottage cheese,1 teaspoon sugar, maida, cardamom and soaked suji properly and make smooth dough.
  • From this dough make big 6 to 7 balls and fry in ghee on slow flame.
  • Stir only two to three time and fry till they are little black.
  • Turn the heat off but leave balls in ghee for 1 min. Then put all balls in sugar syrup for four hours.
  • Remove from syrup and cover with silver sheet and garnish with grated coconut.
