Bottle Gourd(Lauki) Kofta Curry

Ingredients for Kofta
- Grated gourd–1 cup
- Grated carrot–2 tablespoon
- Garlic paste– 1/2 teaspoon
- Chili paste –1 tablespoon
- Ginger paste–1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander leaves–2 teaspoon
- Besan or corn flour—2 to 3 tablespoon
- Raisin—-1/2 teaspoon
- Oil for fry
- Salt to taste
Gravy—-
- Fried onion slice—1/2 cup
- Yogurt–3 tea spoon
- Red chili powder–2 tea spoon
- Turmeric powder–pinch
- Cardamom –1/4 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Garam masala–1 teaspoon
- Oil –1 teaspoon
- Butter —1 teaspoon
- Bay leaf–1
- Kasuri methi–(dry fenugreek leaves)-1/2 teaspoon
- Ginger paste –1/2 teaspoon
- Sabut(whole dry) red chili-1
- Tomato puree—1 cup
- Sugar –1 tea spoon
Recipe:
- Put little salt in grated gourd and carrot and squeeze to remove water.
- Add chilli ginger paste,coriander leaves, garlic paste and besan. Mix it properly and make medium size balls and fry or shallow fry it.
- Gravy—–Take fried onions, red chili paste, ginger paste and yogurt,mix well and make paste.
- Take butter and ghee in heating pan add bay leaves and saute on slow flame. Add salt and tomato puree . Stir well till oil releases from it.
- Add garam masala, sugar, 1 cup water, kasuri methi (dry fenugreek leaves) and coriander leaves. Keep kofta in serving bowl and pour gravy on it .
- Garnish with cashew nut and coriander leaves.
