Saffron Rose Paneer Modak

Ingredients:

  • Crumbled paneer: 1 cup
  • Milk powder: 1/2 cup
  • Condensed milk: 1/2 cup
  • Saffron strands: 4
  • Milk : 1 teaspoon
  • Rose syrup: 1 & 1/2 teaspoons(less or more)
  • Modak mould

Serves: 8 modak
Time: 10 minutes

Preparation:

  • Fresh home made paneer is better. If not then first wash paneer and wipe it.
  • Crumble with fingers in a pan. Heat pan and add crumbled paneer and roast for 2 min on slow flame.
  • Add milk powder and condensed milk and mix properly.
  • Stir continuously till mixture leaves the border of pan. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  • Divide paneer mixture in two portion. Add saffron milk in one portion and mix it properly.
  • Add rose syrup in second portion and mix properly.
  • Take modak mold and fill one half with rose mixture and other half with saffron mixture, press it little and remove from mold and modk is ready.
  • Garnish with pistachios.
