Dal Pakvan (Sindhi Recipe)

Ingredients: (For Dal)
- Chana dal–1 cup
- water —1 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Turmeric powder–1/4 teaspoon
- Ghee —-1 tablespoon
- Mustard seed—1/4 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds—1/4 teaspoon
- Curry leaves—4 pieces
- Asafoetida–pinch
Ingredients: (For pakwan)
- Maida (refined flour)–1 cup
- Oil –2 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
Serve: 2 to 3
Cooking Time: 20 min
Recipe: (For Dal)
- Soak dal in water for half an hour. Wash properly. Cook in pressure cooker adding turmeric powder and salt.
- Cook till two whistles. Take ghee in pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and asafoetida and heat it.
- Add this tadka in dal and cook for two min. Garnish with chutney.
Recipe: (For pakwan)
- Add oil and salt in maida . Mix it properly then slowly add water and make dough for puri.
- Then make medium size ball and roll medium size puri and make dents with a fork.
- Deep fry it till crispy. It can be stored for 4 to 5 days. Dal pakwan is tasty sindhi dish.
