Bean Sprout Veggie

Ingredients:
- Bean Sprouts : 200 grams
- Onions : 1 finely chopped
- Tomato : 1 finely chopped tomato
- Garlic : 2 chopped cloves
- Coriander powder : 1 & 1/2 teaspoons
- Turmeric powder : 1/2 teaspoon
- Asafoetida powder : pinch
- Red chili powder : 1/2 table spoon or as per your spice level
- Cumin seeds : 1/2 spoon.
- Salt : 1 table spoon or as per your taste
- Cooking oil : 2-3 table spoons
Serves: 2
Cooking time : 40 minutes
Preparation:
- Add oil in a cooking pan and heat on low flame.
- Add asafoetida powder in the pan. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
- Add chopped garlic in the pan and cook until brown in color.
- Now you can add chopped onions and salt as per taste to the pan. Cook them until they turn transparent yellow in color.
- Add chopped tomatoes to the pan and sauté for few minutes until soft.
- Now add the bean sprouts to the pan and mix properly.
- Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder to the pan and mix properly.
- Make sure the spices mix properly with the bean sprout mixture in the cooking pan.
- Add one or half cup of water to the cooking pan and cover the pan with a lid.
- Let the mixture simmer for 15-20 minutes on low flame.
- Keep checking the mixture at regular intervals to avoid burning of vegetable due to loss of water.
- Take the cooking pan off the heat and garnish your vegetable with chopped fenugreek if you want.
- You can have this vegetable with rice or chapati.
