Spring Onion & Curry Leaves Vada(Snack)

Ingredients:

  • Refine flour (maida) —- 1 cup
  • Suji (rava or semolina) —— 1/2 cup
  • Rice flour —-1/2 cup
  • Chili paste or chopped chilli —1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped spring onion—3 tablespoon
  • Cumin seeds —-1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Asafoetida — 1 teaspoon
  • Finely chopped onion —-1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped curry leaves —-12 or 1/4 cup
  • Fresh chopped coriander leaves—–1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ghee or butter —1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oil –1 teaspoon
  • Water as per requirement

Serves —–15 to 20 pieces
Preparation time ——10 min
Frying time —–20 to 25 min

Recipe:

  • Take all flours in a bowl, add ghee and oil.
  • Mix it properly. Add curry leaves,cumin seeds, salt , chili paste, asafoetida, coriander leaves, chopped onion.
  • Mix all ingredients well and add very less water and make hard dough.
  • Take little oil and make the dough smooth and make 15 balls.
  • Keep this ball on plastic sheet and press gently. It looks like thick puri.
  • Prick it with fork and fry on slow flame till it is golden brown.
  • Serve with red hot sauce.You can store it for one week.
